Remembering 9.11.01 and Bound for Broadway
September 11, 2011 the ten year anniversary for our nation’s darkest moment since Pearl Harbor was marked with many solemn tributes and celebrations in remembrance of those we lost. Bound for Broadway, and their Cabaret of talent honored this day with a special tribute performance of 15 of the most talented artists to grace the Duplex Theatres stage.

The night began with a moving story by Singer Ron Giles whose personal friend and military buddy 24 Company Commander CPT Mark Whitford was lost on 9/11. Ron had brought CPT Whitford's family to this performance, sat them in the front row and addressed them personally as he spoke. He performed 'By the time I get to Phoenix' followed by a moment of silence.

Most memorable was the honored guest Judith Victoria, a 9/11 survivor of the attack on the North Tower.  Her story and performance of the Michael Jackson song 'Gone Too Soon' was both the highlight and footnote of the evening.

The other artists all performed prior to Judith and relayed their own personal stories of where they were and what they felt on that fateful day then gave stellar performances.  The concert was capped off with a group performance of 'Light'   We have exclusive interviews with John and the cast, Judith and performance videos which we will be presenting below throughout the fall.

The Duplex Theater on 61 Christopher Street - Manhattan hosted this event and John’s shows are often showcased there.  JD Productions has many exciting projects and shows coming up. Please visit John's web site for details!
